The AD Band has much to celebrate, for its music has enriched the lives of thousands of invdividuals both as performers and listeners. The year 2008 also sees "significant" birthdays for a number of individuals connected with the Band; particuarly that of Violet Doyle, the widow of the band's founder, who is now in her 100th year.
